Hello Friends,
It is about midnight May 2nd and I just set this blog site up so I can keep in touch with all of you while Rebecca and I are in Burundi for the next 5 years. We are still in Poughkeepsie and won't be leaving until July 20th. Although we will leave Poughkeepsie, NY on June 11th and go for three weeks of leadership training in Akron, PA.
We will make a short trip to Baltimore prior to that to drop off some stuff with the Grandparents.
Other news, for those who do not know yet. We are expecting again!! Rebecca will return to the States in October and I will join her in November for the birth. Then it is back to Bujambura in December.
What are we doing there? We are working for MCC (Mennonite Central Committee). It is a faith based development organization that supports projects aimed at promoting peace and social justice. Rebecca and I will be sharing the position of Country Representative for projects in Rwanda and Burundi.
So that is it for now. It is very late.
